Born in Riverside California, Sofia began training at the age of 6 with Riverside Ballet Arts. She completed her training under Ben Stevenson O.B.E. at Texas Ballet Theater School spending her

final year in the Professional Division. After dancing with Ballet Frontier for 1 year, she was offered a contract with the studio company of Ballet Arizona where she performed roles such as

Ugly Stepsister in Cinderella, Corps de Ballet in George Balanchine's Symphony in Three Movements and Snow and Flowers in The Nutcracker. Forced to return home and undergo

surgery after a serious injury, she was able to recover dancing with Ballet Frontier again. While at Ballet Frontier her favorite roles have been Dewdrop Fairy, Shepherdess and Chinese in The

Nutcracker, Corps de ballet in Bamboo and the Turtle in Carnival of the Animals. She has trained in Ballet, Neoclassical, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Latin Ballroom

and more. It is a true privilege to pass down the art of dance to younger generations. Sofia is currently pursuing a career in Musical Theater.
